My research interests include the ecology and evolution of insect populations. My work examines the ecological processes that determine insect population distribution and abundance, and how phenotypic and genetic variation among individuals affects long-term spatial dynamics of populations. Key investigative approaches include ecological niche modelling, geomorphometric analysis, chemical ecology and population genetic analysis. Currently I am working on a project that seeks to evaluate insects pests and their biological control agents, associated with Eucalyptus spp., Acacia mearnsii and Moringa stenopetala, in Ethiopia.
