MSc student
I completed my BSc Genetics (2019) and a BSc Hons in Plant Science with Majors in Crop Physiology and Biotechnology at the University of Pretoria in 2020. I joined the TPCP diagnostic clinic as an intern in the SACTA/CPHB Internship programme (2021), which piqued my interest in plant pathology.
My MSc research project is entitled “Comparative population genetics of Exserohilum turcicum, a foliar pathogen of maize in smallholder and emerging commercial farms in Kenya, Uganda and South Africa” under the supervision of Dr David Nsibo and Prof Dave Berger.
